Stocking stuffers: Bellagio employees participate in stocking drive

Bellagio's EVS team of 370 employees rallied to stuff stockings (and gift bags!) that will go to children at two organizations in the community.

BELLAGIO – Resort employees rallied this month to stuff almost 600 stockings for needy local children. Departments from retail to EVS to engineering partnered with two local charities, Operation Homefront Nevada and St. Jude’s Ranch, to help Santa make sure no one is overlooked tonight.

Employees brought in books, games, remote-control cars, dolls, gift cards and more, said Director of EVS Joseph Carlo, whose 370 employees participated.

“We know there are children within the community who don’t have parents around or whose parents have been out of work for so long that they would not be able to have a happy Christmas,” he said. “We are a community that pulls together during tough, struggling, and also good times – that is what inspired us, and will keep us inspired, not only as individuals, but as MGM Resorts International Diversity Champions!”

Some stockings were given to special needs children attending Operation Homefront Nevada’s “Breakfast with Santa” over the weekend. The rest are being delivered tonight by Santa to the children who live at St. Jude’s Ranch in Boulder City.

Operation Homefront Nevada provides support and other services to service men and women and their families. St. Jude’s Ranch cares for and provides a safe and home-like environment for children who are neglected, abused, or abandoned in the community.
